Canary Islands In A Nutshell

  • Imagine miles and miles of deserted white sandy beach, and you’ll be half way to picturing the unspoilt beauty of Sotavento in Fuerteventura. A sea temperature of 21℃ means swimming or snorkelling at any time of the year is superb. Located in the renowned Corralejo, some parts of the beach are very popular but due to its 17 continuous miles of sand, you are guaranteed to find a quiet spot. This one is also a surfer’s dream with steady, consistent winds. Also, the World Kite Surf Championship is held here every August and makes for some top viewing.

  • Stretching up the coastline in the well-known Costa Adeje resort of Playa Fanabe is the region’s favourite family beach. This is a famed destination for endless beach bliss. You can expect a great range of watersports on offer too, as well as relaxing hammocks and a number of tasty restaurants.

  • For exquisite Canarian cuisine Lanzarote’s La Tegala is your go to. This chic restaurant offers spectacular views across to neighbouring island Fuerteventura. Tantalise your taste buds here and savour high-end island cuisine from roast Ibérico pork, bluefin tuna tartare and salted sweet potato chips. We recommend going for the tasting menu with wine pairing.

For the most succulent prawns and freshest sea bass you have ever savoured in your life, this authentic eatery will give you an outstanding culinary experience. With an emphasis on local produce and fine quality, you are guaranteed an explosion of flavour and colour. Start with the mussels accompanied by a glass of white wine before moving onto the salted squid or lobster.

With its daring selection of thrilling slides, the Thai- themed waterpark is designed to get your adrenaline pumping.
