At the end of last year, Volume Two of Winged Boots: The Lifestyle Brochure was released and sent out to 18,000 people. Throughout the 166-pages, there are various articles about destinations around the world such as Thailand, Mykonos and where to head to on a stag-do. You can also read up on the latest family travel trends, incentive travel ideas for every budget and the sporting calendar for 2019. Not only that, but the ‘Check-In Desk’ section highlights the hotels that some of our customers have recently been to and had nothing but good things to say. Oh, and how could we forget that Volume One of Winged Boots: The Lifestyle Brochure has been shortlisted for The Travel Marketing Awards 2019? The results are announced on 11th March so cross your fingers and wish us luck.

January is notoriously a busy month for travel, and this year was no exception. From Dubai to the Maldives, we had a large number of customers that want to book their 2019 breaks. Endless scenes of sun, sea and sand are sure to be on the cards, especially as we had fantastic offers with Jumeirah, Kensho, One&Only and more. The fun doesn’t stop in January though. This month also included many meetings with potential partners. James Kenyon, head of business sales, headed to Silverstone and got more than he bargained for when meeting with Series Elite. “Series Elite are a private racing team for the mature racing driver that send customer’s race cars to eight locations around the world,” James said. “The company also has a brilliant package where you get to buy a Jaguar XE SV Project 8 – one of the best four-door saloons on the market – and drive it in eight destinations internationally.” 
 
That wasn’t all though, as James then got to ride in a range of Jaguars on the circuit as well as on a simulator. “It was exhilarating and, as a car enthusiast, I was in my element,” he gushed. “It was a shame that it had been raining that day so you couldn’t quite go full power, but I got pretty close.”

Rome has captured the heart of many who have spent a holiday or two there, with personal travel manager Claire Baker being no exception when she went to the Italian capital this month. “It was my second time going to Rome, I just love it,” she said. “I stayed for two-nights, and I went to The Coliseum, The Vatican and The Pantheon, all of which were great. If you’re visiting, I definitely recommend booking tickets in advance as some of the lines to get in can be up to three hours long,” Claire finished.
 
As well as a healthy dose of culture, it was also a fantastic excuse for Claire to go shopping. “The city is full of little Italian boutiques and bistros so you can literally spend the whole day buying souvenirs for yourself and loved ones back home,” she said. “We were also staying at Navona Luxury Apartments, which is in a prime location to see the sights. The hotel itself was beautiful and modern, complete with wonderful views of Rome.”
