"I was lucky enough to stay at Jumeirah Bali on a 'glam-packing' adventure around Southeast Asia and it was one of my favourite stops. Not only does it have a fantastic location on a low cliff overlooking the water, but each villa also has a private plunge pool and dedicated butler service. They get to know you and your preferences and honestly just make the whole experience feel so seamless.
"The villas themselves are beautifully decorated: the perfect blend of dark Balinese wood with tactile soft furnishings. They’re bright and airy with high wood-panelled ceilings, plus most have large doors that open right onto your own outdoor space and the calming sea views beyond.
“They feel secluded but are still conveniently close to the resort amenities, including the incredible dining options and the wellness centre. Treat yourself to a Hammam followed by a Signature Massage at the renowned Talise Spa, before heading back to your villa, throwing on something light with a pair of sandals and settling in at Akasa Restaurant & Bar to catch the sunset. Start with a cocktail from their menu inspired by local ingredients and then make your way through a selection of Asian fusion bites, perfect for sharing (or not). The wasabi tuna tartare, in particular, was stunning.
"I'd say it's perfect for honeymooners or, as in my case, for a solo break to reconnect with yourself – that's what Bali is all about in my opinion. I stayed in a Sunset Villa with Pool, which was perfect for me, but their offering extends all the way to a palatial Three Bedroom Residence with Private Pool which is just out of this world."

"If it's classic Alpine luxury with a little 70s styling you're after, The Lodge Verbier by Lacure mixes vintage-inspired cool with all the five-star comfort you could possibly need. Well, it is Richard Branson's preferred mountain retreat, after all.
"I love that huge open-plan living space. With the roaring fire and well-stocked bar, I can just imagine coming in cold from a day on the slopes and sinking into a long evening of après tipples. The views are incredible too, so even if you fancy skipping a morning of skiing (maybe after all those cocktails the night before), you'll still feel like you're right in the midst of mountain life.
"Sleeping up to 18 adults and six children across its nine blissful bedrooms, several of which have their own fireplaces, there's also an indoor pool, an indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi plus spa facilities to soothe sore muscles.
"While I'm picturing cosy winter nights here, it would also be magical for a Swiss Alp summer."

"Known as the 'last house' in Huatulco because of its secluded location, Villa Escondida is found along a particularly scenic stretch of Pacific coastline on the pristine Playa La Bocana. It borders Copalita echo-archeological park too, making it ideal for nature-lovers.
"Comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests, it's ideal for family groups looking to unwind together - especially larger multi-generational groups who want to share the same space, without being on top of each other. I think it also lends itself well to hosting a special celebration, or as the accommodation for a wedding party.
"Though there is plenty to keep you occupied once you step off the grounds, you could just as easily spend your day wafting between terraces and indoor/outdoor living spaces, sunbathing with softly crashing waves as your soundtrack, or cooling off with a dip in the infinity pool before a leisurely dinner in one of the alfresco dining areas.
"You'll have your own chef, housekeeper and 24-hour concierge support - there's even a nightly turndown service!"

"If anywhere really hits the right note between exceptional wildlife experiences and undeniable luxury, then it's One&Only Gorilla's Nest. Not only does it offer some of the best access to the gorillas that call the surrounding landscapes 'home', but the property itself is nothing short of mind-blowing.
"Tucked away in a protected area of cloud forest, it seems to blend right into the treetops. This philosophy of living in harmony with the area is woven through everything here, from the dining to the sustainability and community initiatives.
"There are loads of spectacular suite options to chose from, but my standout has to be the Silverback Suite. Named after the giants that patrol the emerald valleys around, it offers soul-soothing forest views from an expansive multi-level terrace featuring lounge areas complete with a barbecue, firepit and a private pool for secluded dips in sync with nature's rhythm. Unwind by the fire in the living room, or swap the day's stories around the dining table.
"Wild adventure meets five star elegance, what more could you ask for?"

"If it's Parisian style and Four Seasons polish you're after, step this way and right into the ultra-elegant Eiffel Parisian Suite.
"Feeling more like a chic private residence than a hotel suite, the interiors are bright, inviting and impeccably finished, boasting a gorgeous living and dining area. As the name suggests, the suite also offers stunning views of Paris' most iconic landmark.
"Suspended above the city, that terrace was just made for long springtime mornings spent over coffee and croissants, or evenings that you wish would last forever as you look out over the twinkling lights. If you plan on popping the question, this is a pretty special place to do it.
"Call down to room service for a bottle of Champagne and toast to the good life - and the 'City of Lights'.

"Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab was one of the year's most eagerly anticipated openings, and for good reason. The third of the brand's trilogy of nautical-inpsired buildings along Dubai's 'Golden Peninsula', it represents an exciting new chapter, elevating an already renowned presence in the Emirates to star-worthy status.
"Of course, the amenities throughout the hotel are fantastic: with no fewer than 11 dining options and four bars to choose from, plus the acclaimed Talise spa, where treatments are driven by science but the experience is deeply personal. But it's in the accommodation that Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab really shines, and the Royal Suite was a standout for me.
"With dedicated butler service, its own gym area and treatment space, as well as a swimming pool, sumptuous living area and a regal marble bathroom, it really lives up to its royal name. The amenities are almost endless, including everything from state-of-the-art sound systems with scientifically-curated playlists, to personalised minibars and a barista machine.
"This is a luxury Dubai stay of truly regal proportions."

"Nowhere does a penthouse suite quite like London, and there's nowhere in London quite like Claridge's.
"This rooftop residence wraps the city in 360° views, with a private terrace, heated pool and piano pavilion that makes the space feel theatrical yet intimate. Inside, vast salons, four bedrooms and contemporary art, including works by Damien Hirst, create a pied-à-terre of rare scale and beauty.
"A butler and concierge orchestrate every detail, from spa rituals and private dining to curated days in Mayfair. My advice: linger at golden hour on the terrace, dine in-suite, and let Claridge’s weave your stay into something seamless, indulgent and unforgettable."
