How much does it cost to stay at Soneva Jani Maldives?

Inspiration | 11 July 2022

Recently entering a new phase of its story – Soneva Jani Chapter Two – this wondrous all-villa resort, located in the Maldives’ flawless Noonu Atoll has expanded to include a further 27 luxurious over-water accommodations, a stunning new wellness centre and three modern dining concepts.

The Soneva Jani Maldives style & character

Luxury Maldives holidays don’t come much more lavish than this. In addition to Chapter One’s Water and Island Retreats, Soneva Jani’s brand-new Water and Island Reserves villas with one to four bedrooms also feature clean, crisp interiors, which are reflective of the crystalline waters surrounding them.

With panoramic views of the lagoon, signature al-fresco bathrooms and beautiful glass portholes facing the sea below, the accommodations also boast freshwater pools, and some even have spectacular waterslides curving down into the warm ocean.

Luxury facilities at Soneva Jani

This stunning resort is home to a plethora of dining experiences within Sonae Jani and across the surrounding unspoilt islands. Incredible dining options range from South-East Asian plant-based fare, contemporary Japanese cuisine and organic dishes centred around the ocean.

As well as the different global flavours on offer, Soneva Jani provides truly unique dining experiences such as Guess Who’s Cooking, an innovative idea wherein guests dine on a secret, bespoke menu prepared by one of the resort’s exemplary chefs in a constantly changing location. Other experiences include eating at the first overwater observatory in the Maldives, and a pop-up dinner on the North Island – a private beach perfect for snorkelling and swimming – where the chef will cook up whatever they catch or pick for you.

The Soneva Wellness Centre features state-of-the-art spa facilities and world-class treatments and therapies to make your stay extra indulgent, with a range of massages from around the world to scrubs and wraps, Ayurvedic therapy, vitamin IV therapy, facials, and manicures and pedicures. Also on offer is an extensive fitness schedule including personal trainers, a yoga programme, as well as a children’s wellness corner – because they deserve a little pampering too.

Soneva Jani offers the Spa Unlimited package, which is included in the villa rates when booking the Chapter Two Water and Island Reserves, where guests can enjoy unlimited access to every spa treatment on the menu (it is 500 USD per person per day for Chapter One accommodation guests).

Who has stayed at the Soneva Jani Maldives?

The islands of the Maldives have enticed celebrities and wealthy guests from around the globe for a long time; it was perhaps once a place reserved exclusively for couples and newlyweds, but now on many islands families are extremely well catered for too, with children’s clubs, exciting facilities and activity programmes for kids to keep them entertained.

Everyone’s favourite ‘consciously uncoupled’ family – Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk along with Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson – spent a recent holiday here soaking up the beauty and tranquillity of the resort. Celebrity guests may make an appearance now and then, but Soneva Jani also hosts celebrity guests throughout the year as part of its Soneva Stars programme.

Renowned visitors range from sporting legends to Michelin-starred chefs who come to impart their expertise. For 2022, world-class footballer Yaya Touré brings his flair and is set to host the Young Sonevians’ Football Club from 25th July to 25th August. Fitness and wellness expert Joe Wicks will also make a splash in October with his workshops and training sessions for Soneva Jani and sister hotel Soneva Fushi’s guests.

Value for money

Soneva Jani holidays in the Maldives are, of course, a ‘no expense spared’ type of trip, and what you get for your money is a once-in-a-lifetime experience from start to finish. A week’s getaway here will cost from £11,620 per person including flights. The sheer elegance of the resort, its world-class food, its impeccable accommodations, its phenomenal spa facilities… they all contribute and enhance the beauty of the exotic location.

Is the Soneva Jani family friendly?

Yes, there is plenty on offer for kids here including their own swimming pool, kids’ club, a wellness corner of the Spa, as well as children’s menus in most of the restaurants. We think the waterslides featured in many of the villas will probably go down quite well with the kids too!

How do we get there and how far is the airport from the resort?

Your Soneva Jani booking price will also include return flights from the UK and transfers in Maldives. From London to Malé (MLE), your international flight will take approximately10 and a half hours. Then you can choose a 45-minute seaplane or 60-minute speedboat transfer to the Noonu Atoll.
