A recent rebuild has sharpened the design, but the mood stays relaxed and deeply connected to the environment. Days move between motorboat and mokoro excursions, guided island walks and spectacular birding, then return to the overwater fire-deck for stargazing and stories.

Accommodation is limited to 10 Luxury Tents and one two-bedroom Luxury Family Tent, hosting a maximum of 22 guests. Each is positioned on raised decking along the island’s edge, with enclosed viewing decks overlooking the lagoon’s permanent waters.

Set along the lagoon’s edge, these elevated canvas-and-thatch suites combine classic safari styling with a strong sense of place. Each features an enclosed viewing deck and en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, keeping water views and privacy in perfect balance.

Two-Bedroom Luxury Family Tent

Designed for families or friends travelling together, this spacious two-bedroom suite offers shared living space and an expansive raised deck overlooking the lagoon. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, including indoor and outdoor showers, maintaining comfort without losing connection to the setting.

Meals are designed around the lagoon, with covered and outdoor dining locations across the main area and its multi-level decks. Communal dining is part of the daily rhythm, while private set-ups can be arranged in standout spots on request.

The covered dining area keeps things easy in heat or rain, without breaking the connection to the water beyond. It is the social heart of the lodge at mealtimes, where communal dining turns the day’s sightings into conversation.

Outdoor dining on the decks

Step onto the multi-level decks and the view does the rest as reeds rustle, animals settle into their nocturnal rituals and the light changes by the minute. Outdoor tables sit close to the lagoon and the main lounge areas, so dinner feels threaded into the landscape, not separate from it.

For something more personal, private dining can be arranged on request in memorable settings, including the Overwater Fire-Deck, the floating deck when weather allows, and the boat jetty. It is intimate, cinematic and entirely defined by water and sky.

Life here is led by the ebb and flow of the wetland and wonderfully varied. Days are shaped around deeper-channel motorboat safaris, mokoro excursions through shallows and guided island walks, with seasonal fishing and exceptional birding. Between adventures, the swimming pool overlooks the lagoon.

Motorboat safaris explore deeper channels and lagoons in boats with comfortable seating and a foldaway canvas roof. Mokoro excursions drift through shallower channels and floodplains in traditional dugout canoes.

Guided walking safaris take place on surrounding islands, offering the chance to track larger species in small groups with two guides. Bird watching is described as absolutely spectacular, especially in summer when migrant birds come to breed.

Scenic helicopter flights, available at an additional charge, offer a rare aerial perspective over the Okavango Delta’s intricate channels and islands. From above, the vast wetland system reveals its shifting patterns of water and wilderness in extraordinary, uninterrupted detail.
