If you can bear to leave the confines of your secluded villa, the world-famous Mayan ruins of Chichén Itzá is almost a three-hour drive away, but well worth the journey. A little closer to home, enjoy fantastic boutiques in Playa del Carmen and also sister-town Cancun which is approximately one hour away, by car.
