Visit an exquisite Tuscan vineyard

Have you developed a taste for the infamous vino of Italy? Then spirit yourself away to the quiet Tuscan countryside where, just outside of Siena, you’ll find the stunning vineyards of St. della Befana.

Here amidst the rolling hills, you can sample some of the country’s most exquisite flavours in a signature “Vine, Wine and Life” experience where you’ll get to grips with the culture, history and emotion behind one of Italy’s most celebrated crafts.

Starting with an overview of the technological advancements and environmental impact of the trade, you’ll move on to the organic vineyards and listen to your guide detail the complex agronomic, phenolic and organic cycle behind each bottle. Finally, you’ll be shown to the most important room of all – the cellar. Here, you’ll begin the sensational ritual of tasting with a sample menu, pairing suggestions and a variety of the highest quality tipples.

Your visit will be rounded off in serious style with a light lunch where you’ll be able to put the recommended pairing to the test before purchasing your own liquid treasure and returning to your hotel for a private tasting session.

WINGED BOOTS WISDOM

For red wine lovers, we recommend trying the Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva whereas white wine enthusiasts may be more partial to Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
