Journey to Christ the Redeemer

Tick off one of the Seven Wonders of the World with this half day tour to Corovado Hill where you will embark on a journey to see the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Start off the day just after breakfast, where you will embark on a sightseeing tour of the famous landmarks of the city. Take a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, before arriving at the bottom of the hill to start your ascent on a comfortable train. Corovado Hill is part of the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. As you make your way to the top, you’ll stop at Dona Marta belvedere where you can enjoy views of the Maracanã Stadium, Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain. Once at the peak, take in the breath-taking views of Copacabana and of course get your selfie sticks out to get snaps of the world wonder, located 2,300 feet above sea level.

Whilst there are cafes and stalls at the top of the Corocado Hill, the lines are generally long. To ensure you keep your hunger at bay, we recommend packing some snacks for your journey.
