Attend EXPO 2020

A world-first for Dubai, Expo 2020 is the premier Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region. Opening its doors for six months from 1st October 2021, the event has been dubbed the ‘World’s Greatest Show,' and after seeing the lineup of attractions and events on offer... we have to agree!

If you’re scratching your head wondering what exactly the World Expo is, then ponder no further. The six-month exhibition is held every few years in a particular city that invites every country to showcase the best of what they have to offer. It’s a way to share ideas, collaborate on an international level and demonstrate innovation in a variety of fields including technology and architecture.

Historically, the World Expo has introduced brand new products which we now consider household items. Lawnmowers and washing machines were introduced in Paris in 1855, 1876 welcomed the world to Heinz tomato ketchup and the first television was showcased in New York in 1939.1964 saw the first showcase of the Ford Mustang, and the Ferris Wheel was unveiled to the world at the event in 1893. Not only that, but architectural landmarks such as The Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty torch and Crystal Palace all come to be because of World Expos.

Taking place in the world’s largest 360-degree projection dome, Expo 2020 in Dubai promises to make history with no two days set to be the same. More than 60 live shows and performances have already been scheduled in, with A-list global superstars set to take to the stage. There are also three themed pavilions: Opportunity Pavilion; Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion and Mobility Pavilion which will host more than 190 countries including the UK, Japan and China.

With there being so much to see and do, you’re bound to get hungry and you’re in luck at Expo 2020. 200 dining outlets from some of the world’s most highly regarded chefs are at your fingertips, and there are also 30 never-seen-before in Dubai dining concepts. You can expect to dine differently, that’s for sure! Think robotics, virtual reality and augmented reality alongside food trucks and live culinary shows.
