Our personalised service and long-lasting client relationships set Winged Boots apart. As a key component of our ‘Extra Mile’ guarantee, we reward our top clients with a number of perks and events throughout the year. These include access to our private suite at The O2, an annual Patrons’ Lunch, private dinners at London's most prestigious restautants and a charity clay pigeon shoot day.
Each year, the shoot day is held at the prestigious Purdey’s Royal Berkshire Shooting School and is hosted in partnership with Maddox Gallery: a leading worldwide purveyor of fine and contemporary art.
This year, the shoot took place on Friday 7th June and the sun was (thankfully) shining as guests enjoyed some clay pigeon shooting, followed by a three-course meal.
The afternoon was filled with plenty of laughs, games and prizes. Most importantly, however, is that it was all for a great cause as all proceeds support our charity partner: Haven House Children’s Hospice. We aimed to raise £10,000 but exceeded our target to achieve an impressive figure of £13,700.
We couldn’t have done it without our wonderful sponsors One&Only, Atlantis and Overfinch. Therefore, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to them.
The day began with a welcome from Winged Boots Co-CEO David Ox and Jay Rutland, Creative Director of Maddox Gallery, accompanied by a round of bacon sandwiches and coffee to get everyone fuelled up for the game.
Dylan from Purdey’s Royal Berkshire Shooting School then took our guests through the all-important safety briefing, before everyone was divided into teams (and a few let their competitive streaks shine through!)
Congratulations to ‘The Good, the Bad, and the Arty’, who claimed top spot with an admirable score of 360. They were followed closely behind by ‘Oggy Oggy Oggy Ox Ox Ox’, ‘The Clayfather’ and ‘The Clayshank Redemption’ in joint second position, who each garnered 356 points. Winged Boots came in third while One&Only pulled up the rear – better luck next time guys!
The morning shooting session was punctuated by a break for refreshments and a little networking. After a few hours on the grounds and varying levels of skill displayed, it was time for a champagne and cocktail reception before the sumptuous meal, speeches and a raffle.
We rounded off the day with a change of location and a sophisticated soirée at The Swan at Streatley, where those who wanted to enjoyed some summer sunshine and a couple more cocktails well into the evening.
