Calling all Formula 1 fans. The bright lights city is going set your soul on fire with its new 2023 calendar that is heading to Las Vegas for the penultimate race of the season.

Zooming around the iconic strip, this night race will be set against the backdrop of the Bellagio’s dancing fountains, Paris’ twinkling Eiffel Tower and The Mirage’s erupting volcano. Oh, and the small matter of roughly 12 million neon bulbs that help make Las Vegas Boulevard visible from space.

Set over Thanksgiving weekend, Las Vegas is joining its US city cousins Miami and Austin and will be the third American host during the season. The race will take place on Saturday 18th November at approximately 10pm local time and is set to be a highlight for 2023 racing.

The 14-turn track will run for 3.8 miles with top speeds expected to hit 212mph. It will feature three straights, a high-speed cornering sequence and a single chicane section, with the Grand Prix to be run over 50 laps.

The Grand Prix was last in Las Vegas more than 40 years ago, in 1981 and 1982, where it was then known as The Caesars Palace Grand Prix and the track was set in the glorious hotel’s not so impressive car park.

Making history by returning for 2023 with a much more striking track, this also sparks the first time that Formula 1 has included a mammoth 24 races in its season.

Here are our top hotel recommendations for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Bellagio

Known worldwide for its expansive lake with fountains that are choreographed to musical classics, Bellagio is a top Las Vegas hotel choice. Its grand entrance and parade of designer boutiques will satisfy luxe-seekers while the thrilling casino will entice you to pull the lever, roll the dice and risk another hand.

The rooms and suites offer exceptional lake and strip views with all the modern comforts you could ever wish for. Plus, there are a whopping 18 dining destinations for you to choose from.

The Wynn

A curved copper tower on the northern end of the strip, The Wynn is a hub of entertainment. Expect lashings of luxury throughout the entire resort, with an army of shops within The Wynn and sister resort Encore alongside even more restaurants including Italian icon Cipriani and a homage to the golden era of Hollywood at Delilah.

After dark, the hotel shines even brighter with a nightclub, concerts and theatre shows, and the world-renowned Lake Of Dreams water attraction.

Waldorf Astoria eschews typical Las Vegas and is one of the only resorts on the strip to not have a casino. There are no bright lights or loud entertainment either, instead its highlight is Skybar that’s located on the 23rd floor and boasts strip views and expertly curated cocktails.

The award-winning spa is a zen den with a menu of treatments to soothe the mind, body and soul which is matched by the comfortable rooms and suites which boast spa-soaking tubs and sophisticated amenities.
