W Dubai - The Palm

Dubai, UAE
Open Date: 30th December 2018

W Dubai – The Palm is a hotel that we’ve been waiting to open for a while. This hotel will feature 250 guest rooms and suites, an AWAY Spa, a WETDECK and a SoBe rooftop right on the shores of Palm Jumeirah. Fill your days with diving, dining and drinking before hitting the hay, or why not continue the party in your luxury accommodation that features signature W interiors, a mini bar and gorgeous views of Dubai? There are fantastic restaurants such as Torno Subito and Akira Black to tuck into, as well as a private beach complete with watersports, too.

We checked in with general manager Anne Scott earlier in the year about the hotel opening who had this to say. “In a city like Dubai where everything already exists, we’re going to wow the world with this incredible building,” Anne says. “People can be awe-struck by amazing architectural design, but my job is to make sure that the team delivers the guest experience that goes with it. I don’t just want W Dubai – The Palm to be a cool, trendy showstopper design, it needs to come with incredible hospitality, surprises and guest-delight moments." Read the full interview here.

Located in the bustling beachside town of Santa Eulalia del Río, you have direct access to the cerulean waters of the Mediterranean Sea and some of Ibiza’s most famous nightclubs. In the plans there are scheduled to be 162 rooms, two signature WET Decks and an elevated beach bar called Chiringuito. If you fancy getting rid of your hangover from the night before, make sure to book yourself in for a treatment or two at the 4,000-square-foot AWAY Spa that boasts seven treatment rooms along with a fitness centre.

Speaking about the hotel to Marriott, global brand leader of W Hotels Worldwide Anthony Ingham said that Ibiza is the perfect setting for a W hotel. “With its playful energy and bohemian spirit, Ibiza is an ideal destination and perfect match for W Hotels,” Anthony said. “We have been present in Ibiza since 2010 with a variety of W music events and partnerships, so we’re thrilled to be finally opening a W Hotel on the island that we know our guests will love. Following the success of W Barcelona and the forthcoming debuts of W Madrid (2019) and W Marbella (2021), W Ibiza will remix the expected and provide a new take on the (in)famous island,” he finishes.
