"I was fortunate to participate in a familiarisation trip hosted by One&Only Resorts to experience SIRO, their new fitness and recovery-focused brand, the first of its kind in Dubai. Construction of the building began in 2017 and was completed in 2024. Its prime location is perfect for business travellers, situated just 15-20 minutes from the airport and near the Dubai International Financial Centre.

"We pulled up outside the building's striking exterior, and made our way up to the 30th floor to check-in to SIRO, the facilities of which span over two levels. After settling in, we were presented with an exciting three-day itinerary filled with an array of classes and treatments. On our first evening, our hosts eased us into relaxation with a variety of treatments focused on stretching and massages."

"However, the tranquillity didn't last long. Saturday morning arrived, and we found ourselves diving headfirst into a challenging HIIT class crafted by the AC Milan fitness team. Our trainer, Hamsa, was truly exceptional – guiding us through a rigorous workout that left us feeling invigorated. Following our workout, we had the pleasure of indulging in some smoothie making at the reception, where a complimentary Refuel Bar awaits, offering a selection of healthy snacks, shakes, and refreshments to replenish post-workout energy. Later, we immersed ourselves in a rejuvenating yoga session before savouring an evening dinner at The Link."

"Dining at SIRO is truly an event. Guests have the option to indulge in the hotel’s customised nutritional programmes or explore the culinary delights offered at the 11 restaurants located within The Link. This futuristic boulevard, elevated 100 meters above the city, seamlessly connects One Za’abeel's two towers.

"Among the 11 dining options, seven restaurants boast prestigious Michelin stars, and I had the privilege of sampling many of them. My personal highlight was dining at StreetXO, helmed by Chef Dabiz Muñoz – renowned as the Best Chef in the World in 2022. Here, Chef Muñoz has curated a menu inspired by his global adventures, elevating street food to unparalleled heights."

"On Sunday, we tried our hand at a boxing session – once more created by the AC Milan team. It was thoroughly enjoyable, though perhaps not as intense as the HIT class! Following a satisfying lunch, I treated myself to the luxurious spa facilities at One&Only One Za’abeel. Later, I indulged in a bespoke recovery treatment at SIRO – an hour-long specialised stretching massage tailored to suit your body's needs."

"During my stay, I also had the chance to experience one of their distinctive treatments – the Triple Detox by MLX i³Dome. This involves being placed in a specialised tube that eliminates toxins, leaving you feeling completely rejuvenated. The technology behind it was actually pioneered by NASA, originally used to assist astronauts upon their return from space missions."

"The room offerings at SIRO are truly exceptional – boasting a sleek, minimalist design with meticulous attention to detail. One standout feature is the inclusion of a projector in every room, allowing guests to project their workouts and train in the comfort of their own space. It means there's simply no excuse for missing a workout session while staying here! Additionally, we had the opportunity to explore other room categories, including the suites, some of which are equipped with gym facilities and punch bags.

"While there, I had the privilege of experiencing One&Only One Za’abeel for a night, complementing my time at SIRO. Combining both hotels in one holiday offers the perfect blend of fitness activities and relaxation. The hotel was designed by the esteemed Jean-Micheal Gathy, who has lent his expertise to many of the brand's properties.

"I was delighted to stay in a Sanctuary Suite, which was truly spectacular, featuring breathtaking 180-degree views of the city and filled with luxurious amenities.

"While its location caters well to business travellers, it also radiates a resort-style ambience, boasting impressive facilities such as The Garden Pool on the 4th floor, complete with serviced sun loungers, South-East Asian dining options, and a Kid’s Club. Additionally, there's an adult-only pool area named Tapasake, situated on the 27th floor of The Link, offering unparalleled views of Dubai. SIRO guests can access this pool from 6am to 10am, while non-residents have the option to purchase a day pass for around 1500 Dirham."
