Inside Palazzo Versace Dubai's impressive Imperial Suites

  • Published 07 June 2018

We caught up with Marion Faivre, director of sales at Palazzo Versace Dubai, to get the inside scoop on the hotel’s top accommodation options

If you’re not familiar with the Palazzo Versace hotels then, in our opinion, you’re missing out. The Australia resort was the world’s first fashion-branded hotel and was the distinct vision of the fashion house’ founder Gianni Versace. After welcoming its first guests in 2000, Palazzo Versace Gold Coast Australia has since gained popularity thanks to its on-going relationship with the ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here hosted by Britain’s favourite television presenters, Ant and Dec. However, the fashion house’s newer Dubai venture truly deserves to take centre stage.

Located in the heart of the city, Palazzo Versace Dubai stands tall, an emblem of fashionable-design that fuses Donatella’s signature prints with her brother Gianni’s beloved Medusa crest and Dubai’s unparalleled hospitality. Offering unobstructed views of Dubai Creek, the hotel merges Arabic architectural elements with a traditional Italian palace… and the end result is outstanding. Every inch of the property has been thoroughly thought out, from the ornate ceilings to the delicate mosaics and each element combines to make for a truly unbelievable stay. But, if you want to enjoy all that this beautiful resort has to offer, the Imperial Suites should be where you call home. But don’t just take our word for it. We caught up with Marion Faivre, director of sales at Palazzo Versace Dubai to get the inside scoop on the hotel’s top accommodation choices.

Planning your next journey ?

Our expertise, worldwide connections, and the way we do things with a relentless drive means whatever your travels needs are, we can make it happen for you whenever, however, wherever and every time.

The Imperial Suites

“Designed to resemble Gianni Versace’s mansion in Miami and set on the two-levelled top floors of Palazzo Versace Dubai, are the magnificent Imperial Suites,” Marion explains. With two Imperial Suites to choose from, each encompasses a distinct theme. “The first presents a heritage design concept with neo-classical elements and a delicate colour palette,” she adds. “The floorings come in Verde Laguna marble mosaic alternated with Grey Delicato or Giallo Siena marble as well as wooden floors, and the furniture belongs to the iconic Vanitas collection by Versace Home.

“The second suite presents a more contemporary style. All the furniture is exclusively selected from the Via Gesú collection by Versace Home and is characterised by plain and elegant designs, soft yet neutral colours and the signature Medusa”.

If you’re not convinced already that these suites are big, then let us reiterate this statement. Each offering is like a mini-palace and thanks to the accompanying army of accommodating staff, every guest is certain to feel like royalty from check-in to check-out. “The Imperial Suites are made of almost 1200-square-metres and each has two levels. Both feature an entrance hall, a magnificent marble staircase, a dining room, living room, office, lounge and entertainment room complete with billiard table and cocktail bar. Plus, each also has two master bedrooms with walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms, a gym and a sauna. The terrace unveils an outdoor private pool and garden, too,” Marion says.

Every element of the suites is designed to a high specification and each room offers a different colour palette, classic Versace print and bespoke design sketches as embellishments across all of the walls. It’s this acute attention to detail and unique décor that makes the Imperial Suites are utterly one-of-a-kind and popular with a range of travellers.

“The Imperial Suites at Palazzo Versace Dubai are the place where you can have a complete private experience,” explains Marion. “The suites have been designed to accommodate CEOs, high-profile business men and women and, of course, celebrities. This style of suite is very popular in this part of the world thanks to the generous space, comfort and absolute privacy.”

And she isn’t kidding. Thanks to the helpful staff and never-ending series of rooms that are all designed with guests’ comfort in mind, you’ll never need to leave your suites’ four walls. But if you are craving some of Dubai’s world-renowned Vitamin D, the spacious terrace and private pool is all you need. Offering unobstructed views of the city’s impressive skyline, the large pool and hot tub is a great way to cool off from the blazing sunshine… and the deluxe sun loungers provide the perfect spot to read a good book.

What’s more, booking a stay in the Imperial Suites also comes complete with butler service, breakfast, complimentary access to the Executive Lounge and complimentary airport transfers in a luxury car. What more could you need? Well, whatever the list we guarantee that Palazzo Versace Dubai’s extensive facilities will more than provide.

Each offering is like a mini-palace and thanks to the accompanying army of accommodating staff, every guest is certain to feel like royalty from check-in to check-out.

Palazzo Versace Dubai plays host to eight distinct dining destinations. Serving delectable Italian cuisine at Vanitas and Persian gastronomy inspired by the restaurant’s Michelin-starred chef at Enigma, every meal in this hotel is guaranteed to delight the palate. What’s more, it’s also home to music legend Quincy Jones first bar, Q’s Bar and Lounge which boasts a catalogue of handcrafted cocktails and live music acts that are hand-picked by Quincy himself. “In a city without a traditional Jazz scene, Q’s Bar and Lounge has put Dubai on the musical map,” describes Marion. “The menu spotlights a long list of cocktails with names inspired by different periods and tunes from Quincy’s career (The Prince, The Dude and Body Heat for example). The venue is also a destination for high-quality comfort food stirred by New York and New Orleans’ culinary culture and a wide selection of fine and rare beverages. What’s more, the best music acts are complemented by unmatched acoustics.” Often voted as one of the best live music venues across the entire emirate, an evening here is bound to be a highlight of any trip.

“Palazzo Versace Dubai has it all. Three swimming pools, kids’ club facilities and complimentary transfers to Dubai Parks & Resorts and the Dubai Mall,” says Marion. “Guests can also enjoy the beach facilities at Nikki Beach with Palazzo Versace Dubai’s complimentary transfers.

“For the honeymooners and those who just want some ‘me time’, our award-winning spa offers 1,000-square-metres of wellness with seven luxurious treatment rooms, Moroccan Hammam sanctuary and an exquisite spa suite with its own private Jacuzzi,” she adds. Focusing on holistic treatments, the spa offers a sensual experience based on the principles of aromatherapy.
All this and more is why your next trip to Dubai has to include a stay at Palazzo Versace Dubai but if you’re still on the fence we bet if we talk a little more about the outstanding service and unparalleled décor, you’ll book your next trip quicker than we can say ‘Donatella’.

“Open since November 2016, Palazzo Versace Dubai has already been praised with 18 awards including the much desired and prestigious Best Luxury Hotel Of The Year at the Hospitality Awards in The Middle East 2017,” Marion explains. What’s more, the interiors showcase Versace Lifestyle through the contemporary eyes of Donatella, an all-round fashion vixen who knows how to design a fabulous print. However, the jewel in this hotel’s crown, Imperial Suites aside, has to be the awe-inspiring hand-crafted masterpiece in the lower grand lobby. Consisting of 1.5million pieces of mosaic made by the famous Italian artisans at Fantini, this incredible piece of art is definitely worth a snap for your Instagram feed. It took two years to complete!
