Scenic Eclipse II is the second addition to Scenic Eclipse’s fleet of ultra-luxury Discover Yachts that offer the benefits of ocean cruising with the exclusivity of a superyacht. 

Setting sail in April 2023, Scenic Eclipse II is similar to her sister ship but with additional enhancements to make her a truly luxurious expedition cruise.

The suites 

Scenic Eclipse II has 114 suites and can accommodate up to 228 guests (200 in polar regions). 

Enjoy spacious rooms with a large double bed and modern amenities in the Verandah and Deluxe Verandah Suites or have your own personal spa complete with a circular bath in the Spa Suites. 

Or why jot really push the boat out in the Owners Penthouse Suite with a private Jacuzzi and best views onboard? All suites have a private verandah and ensuite bathroom. 

Food and drink

Although she may look like a superyacht rather than a cruise, Scenic Eclipse II absolutely spoils her guests with food and drink choices. 

Discover up to ten dining experiences and lounges as well as nine bars throughout the ship. Treat yourself to a range of all-inclusive culinary offerings from casual to fine dining. The cuisine is international fare from the very best French fine dining to an Asian fusion feast. 

Scenic Eclipse II also features a new immersive dining experience. Called Chef’s Garden @ Epicure, guests can take part in cooking masterclasses or whisky tastings here.

Amenities 

One-of-a-kind features include the expansive Senses Spa with its treatment rooms, plunge pools, and relaxation lounges. You can also find a steam room which can accommodate aromatherapy alongside a new custom salt therapy lounge. 

Guests can relax in the Sky Bar on the Sky Deck with both indoor and outdoor seating as well as six private cabanas. The large, oval-shaped Vitality Pool on the Sky Deck is the perfect place to cool off too.

Incredible Iberian Discovery is the inaugural route for Scenic Eclipse II as it embarks on its maiden voyage in April. You can still catch it in the summer too. The 12-day itinerary explores the two great seafaring nations of Portugal and Spain. 

Begin your adventure in Portugal’s capital Lisbon before skirting the Atlantic coast southwards to the picturesque Algarve. From there it’s past the Strait of Gibraltar and up the Spanish coast to Barcelona, stopping at the Balearic Islands along the way. 

This itinerary treats you to a wealth of quaint fishing villages and ancient Roman ruins. Plus, there will be plenty of time to relax and catch a few rays on sun-soaked beaches.

The gems of the Mediterranean are unveiled in this 10-day itinerary which takes you from Barcelona, Spain to Rome, Italy. 

Explore the beauty of the French and Italian rivieras, home to plentiful picturesque beaches, magnificent islands, and glamorous towns. 

Highlights include the beautiful fishing villages of Portofino and Porto Santo Stefano and the world-famous Monte Carlo, Europe’s centre for luxury living. 

From food to art and everything in between, this itinerary showcases the very best of the Mediterranean.

If you’re looking for La Dolce Vita, it’s here in this 12-day route which skirts the coast of Western Italy and Sicily before travelling up Montenegro and Croatia with a finish in Venice.

Marvel at the diverse regions of Western Europe as you sail from Lisbon, Portugal all the way up to Bergen, Norway. 

This epic two-week adventure touches the coast of Portugal, Spain, France, the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands before traversing the North Sea to Norway.

The land of fire and ice deserves its own exclusive itinerary and Scenic Eclipse II does just that. Circling the small but mighty island nation of Iceland, the cruise treats its guests to ten days of volcanoes and glaciers along its captivating scenery. 

Starting from Iceland’s capital Reykjavik, the cruise heads north to Ísafjörður where deep fjords, flat topped mountains and remote towns await. 

Next, it’s onwards to the friendly town of Sauðárkrókur. History buffs and animal lovers will enjoy Húsavík, a settlement established by Swedish Vikings and now a popular place for whale watching!

This route is for you if you love remote islands, jaw-dropping scenery, and lands of myths and legends. 

Sail in the footsteps (or oar strokes) of the Vikings as you travel from Reykjavik along Iceland’s south coast to Heimaey and then Seyðisfjörður before turning south to the Faroe Islands. 

One of Europe’s least travelled destinations, the Faroe Islands reward its visitors with towering clifftop scenery, thundering waterfalls and traditional villages founded by Vikings. 

Then it’s time to hit the open ocean to Scotland via beautiful Shetland, Stromness, Aberdeen and finally Edinburgh.

If you prefer to go further afield, Scenic Eclipse II will take a transatlantic voyage to the Americas (which you can join her for) and spend October in the Caribbean before sailing down to Antarctica at the end of the year. 

In 2024, she’ll be sailing to Polynesia and the Pacific Islands, the Indonesian Archipelago, West Papua & Solomon Islands, and Australia.
