Your holiday starts as you sink back into your plush seat, take the cooled glass of bubbling champagne while your imagination starts to fill with images of the destination you’re headed. It’s fair to say that business class is a must when travelling in luxury. But with the selection of stylish options for those looking for an indulgent in-flight experience, airlines are constantly competing to offer the most comfortable setting for its premium travellers. Say hello to British Airways’ upgraded business class option as it unveils the highly-anticipated ‘Club Suite’, set to arrive on the first of its A350 aircraft in July 2019. Part of the £6.5 billion investment programme, the entirely new suite’s sophisticated interior and contemporary design will ensure jetsetters relish their time in the air like nobody’s business.
A feeling of calm and zen will wash over you from the moment you take your first step in
The newly-branded Club Suite will offer an experience tailormade to the high-end customer with a need for ease and a love for wellbeing, with each individual space offering direct-aisle access, a personal door for greater privacy and luxurious flat-bed seats to ensure you get some shut-eye. Laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration, it boasts 40 percent more storage than the previous business class design, and coupled with the reduced noise levels, high ceilings and ambient lighting, a feeling of calm and zen will wash over you from the moment you take a step in.
Every aspect of the Club Suite is crafted for the modern traveller – complimentary WiFi, 18.5-inch personal entertainment screens, high definition gate-to-gate programming and PC/USB power come as standard in your hub of relaxation. Higher levels of humidity and refreshed air will also leave you feeling rejuvenated as you enter the first scene of your holiday story, with cabin pressure being equivalent to an altitude of just 6,000 feet.
Eco-conscious travellers can also rest a little easier as this particular model of aircraft burns 25 percent less fuel, significantly reducing its CO2 emissions. Of course, sleek furnishings and essential amenities are a given, and a vanity unit and mirror, plush new pillows, warm quilts and an improved dining experience are all infused into the contemporary cabin.
Alex Cruz, British Airways' Chairman and CEO, said: "Many of the design features were incorporated as a direct result of the feedback we've had from our customers. We've worked hard to ensure every aspect of the Club World experience, from the lounges we've refreshed to the new gourmet menus from Do&Co on flights from Heathrow, along with the luxurious bedding we've introduced from The White Company, exudes the very British style and quality customers expect from us.” With the company’s centenary celebrations ongoing, the new suites are definitely a way to get the party started.
