        Koggala is a small town, but with a whole lot of personality. Situated on the south-eastern side of Sri Lanka and a short trip away from the historic town of Galle, it has a luscious tropical environment and is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The hotel does provide an air taxi service, should you wish to cut down your travel time from Bandaranaike International Airport and take in some impressive vistas of the island from the air.

        The Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence is a one-of-a-kind dessert available for guests to indulge in at The Fortress Resort & Spa. Created on special request only, the dessert draws inspiration from a traditional fishing practice that is centuries old and can be witnessed along the coastline of Galle. It is created using Italian Cassata flavoured with Baileys and served with a pomegranate and mango compote. The base is a champagne sabayon and the crowning glory is the 80-carat aquamarine stone, placed below a handcrafted chocolate fisherman. As deserts go, it’s giving the wow-factor!
        Yes, in-room dining is available within the resort 24-hours a day. The resort offers menus from all their dining venues, which can be enjoyed course-by-course in the comfort of your own space should you wish. 
        The main resort infinity pool is not an adult only facility. However, it is 50-metres long and there is space for everyone to enjoy the surrounding tropical views and sounds of lapping ocean beyond. There is also a special area within the pool with water jets and a separate shallow section designed specifically for kids.
