        The hotel has over 120 years of history. It first opened as the former Princes Street Station Hotel in 1903. In 1965, the station was closed allowing the hotel to expand.
        The hotel has 241 rooms and suites although a new £35million expansion is expected to increase the number to 300 by early 2026.
        The Caledonian Edinburgh became a member of the Curio Collection by Hilton in the summer of 2024. It was previously called Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian under the Waldorf Astoria brand.
