        Cold Room – Ice Room

        This classic design has a thick mattress on a wooden base where you can snuggle up in your reindeer hides. The warm Dressing Room building is adjacent to the hotel where communal changing rooms, toilets and saunas can be found.

        Warm Room – Kaamos Superior

        Spacious and comfortable, you can get cosy and hibernate from the cold thanks to the heated stone floors. You’ll also receive a complimentary guided tour of ICEHOTEL, entry to the sauna and the use of snowsuits, boots and mittens.

        Cold Room – Art Suite 365

        Individually designed and crafted by expert artists from around the world. These rooms are so stunningly beautiful, you won’t know where to look first. Facilities are in the warm section of the hotel, plus a complimentary private changing booth.

        ICEHOTEL offers two restaurants, a lounge and an ice bar. Enjoy traditional cuisine in The Dining Room, served on ice, or indulge in a 12-course feast. Whilst Jukkasjärvi Homestead offers a game-heavy menu, crackling fires and excellent drinks.

        The temperature inside the ICEHOTEL stays between -5 to -7°C. You’ll sleep in expedition-style sleeping bags designed for extreme temperatures. You’ll be comfortable in thermals, a hat, warm socks, and a mid-layer jumper. You can access your ice room from 6pm, but a heated service building is open 24/7, where you can store your belongings, collect your sleeping bag, and use the bathroom, shower and sauna. Daily tutorials are offered for guests sleeping amongst the ice art.
        We recommend staying one night in an ice room or art suite and spending a couple of nights in a warm room. This way, you can enjoy wilderness excursions during the day and return to a warm room in the evening. Ideally, book your first or last night in an ice room, and the rest in a warm cabin or hotel room. Overnight excursions are available on select days for a more adventurous experience.
        If you're staying in an ice room or art suite, you can store your belongings in a locker or booth within the heated service building, which is staffed 24/7. The Deluxe Suites 365 come with a private bathroom and shower, directly connected to the bedroom. There’s also a heated relaxation area where you can store your items.
        Explore the stunning ice art and sculptures throughout the hotel, crafted by artists from around the world. We recommend booking activities like dog sledding, skiing, snowmobiling in winter, or river rafting and cycling in summer. You can also go on Northern Lights safaris or join a class with one of our master ice sculptors.
        The ICEHOTEL is located in the small village of Jukkasjärvi, home to around 900 residents. Besides the ice hotel, you’ll find a restaurant, cabins, hotel rooms, an ice bar, and a ceremony hall made of ice. You can also visit the local homestead restaurant, just a 10-minute walk away. The village has a small convenience store, but no cash point.
        Dressing properly is crucial for enjoying your stay outdoors. We provide warm outer clothing, including a snowsuit, boots, gloves and a balaclava. Pack thermal underwear (preferably wool), breathable layers, plenty of socks (again, wool is recommended), and a warm hat.
        Yes! Arctic summer in Jukkasjärvi offers breathtaking views and 24-hour daylight. The midnight sun shines from mid-May to mid-July, creating magical golden light. ICEHOTEL 365 stays open year-round, keeping winter inside while summer is outside. You can explore the 18 Art and Deluxe Suites or enjoy a drink at the Icebar by Icehotel. Summer activities include fishing, river rafting, and wilderness dinners, perfect for families, friends, or groups.
        The Midnight Sun is a natural phenomenon above the Arctic Circle, where the sun stays visible for 24 hours. From late May to mid-July, Jukkasjärvi experiences constant daylight, casting a golden glow over the village and making nature come alive with bursts of colours, flowers and wildlife.
