        The boutique hotel has 15 rooms over two floors. Other residences can be found on the shores of Lake Wakatipu a short stroll away from the hotel.
        A hotel has stood in the spot by the waterfront since the 1860s when Queenstown became the centre of the gold rush. An entrepreneurial Welsh farmer turned his woolshed into a hotel called the Queen’s Arms. In 1866, he partnered with Albert Eichardt who later became the sole owner of the hotel and called it Eichardt's Hotel. In 2001, it reopened as a luxury boutique hotel.
        The hotel welcomes children of all ages. There are interconnecting rooms and cots available at no extra charge. Both restaurants have child-friendly menus.
