        Rooms are spread out over five tea planter bungalows. Each room offers a taste of heritage, stunning views and so much charm. Master Suites have personal living areas, Garden Suites boast verandas with access to private gardens and Luxury Rooms offer elegant four-poster beds.

        Luxury Room

        Luxury Rooms offer an impeccably appointed bedroom with either a king-size or two twin beds. Elegant bathrooms with twin vanities, a bath and a walk-in rain shower offer guests a place to relax after a day of exploring. 

        Master Suite

        Master Suites are the second-best rooms in each bungalow. Each boasts a master bedroom with a four-poster bed and crisp white sheets; a spacious and exquisitely furnished living room that opens onto a private veranda; and a lavish bathroom.

        Owners Cottage

        The Owners Cottage is located at Dunkeld bungalow. It's a romantic, secluded and standalone bungalow with glorious lake views. Guests staying here can enjoy a heated outdoor hot tub, a beautifully furnished living room and a large veranda.

        Go back in time with a Tea Planter’s picnic

        The Planters Lunch is an old tradition reimagined into a plush picnic. In the early days of the tea industry, tea planters would conduct field inspections either on foot or horseback, then at midday they would take a break under the shade of a tree for a bite to eat.

        Explore with a guided nature experience

        Forests and national parks in the hill country make for interesting excursions for the nature-lovers. Catch a glimpse of many endemic species of flora and fauna in Horton Plains National Park, Hakgala Botanical Gardens, and Galway’s-land National Park and Kitulgala. 

        Private tea tasting with Bernard Holsinger

        Tea-lovers rejoice with a private tea tasting led by resident tea planter Bernard Holsinger. This interactive and guided experience will have you tasting and learning to identify and appreciate the unique flavours that give different teas their distinctions from one another. 

        Set in Sri Lanka’s hill country, the houses are linked by walking and cycling routes. Sri Lanka’s hill country is covered in lush tea plantations, cascading waterfalls, towering mountains and some of the most spectacular scenery you’ll find on the island. The bungalows are situated 4,000 feet above sea level giving guests incredible views over Castlereagh Lake and the surrounding area. Although they are four hours by car from Colombo International Airport, the journey is well worth it.

        Yes, the resort is fully inclusive of gourmet à la carte meals and beverages that are served either on location of your excursion for the day, in your private room or alfresco on a view drenched veranda. From morning, noon and night, and all the snacks and refreshments you need in between, you will be well catered for at Ceylon Tea Trails. 
        To avoid the four hour drive from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you can instead choose to land a seaplane on Castlereagh Lake which is just a 30-minute journey from the same international airport. Plus, that way you get to enjoy a scenic tour of the island before you even land in the resort.
