  • Mission Santa Barbara is a religious monument that is one of the most visited in the whole city. Wander the 12-acres of gardens before heading to the beautiful church and museum to immerse yourself in its rich history.
  • For a taste of local life, head to Stearns Wharf. One of the longest piers in the world you can expect a fantastic seafood market and an abundance of shops to pick up souvenirs and trinkets for a reminder of your amazing holiday. Once done, continue walking and hit State Street for fantastic boutiques and high-end designers.
  • Take the Urban Wine Trail which will take you through a plethora of wineries in the East Beach area. Brilliant after shopping in Sterns Wharf or State Street, you will be sampling premier vino before you know it. With 27 venues to choose from, the hardest part is choosing which to visit first.

Life’s a Beach

  • East Beach is a fantastic place for thrill seekers. With more than 12 volleyball courts, a playground and a restaurant, families can easily spend the day here… and many do.
  • Adrenaline-junkies will be in their element at Leadbetter Beach, located a 35-minute walk from East Beach. With a plethora of watersports available, it’s a top spot for surfers, both beginners and professionals, with windsurfing and sailing also available. Picnic and barbecue sites can also be reserved should you want to make a meal of it, however alcohol is prohibited on all Santa Barbara beaches.
  • For a more secluded affair, Butterfly Beach is calm and serene, making it ideal for a quiet sunbathe or romantic date for two. It does get busy on the weekends though. Expect to see your fair share of celebrities too, due to the exclusive Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club being housed here.
