  • Poplar Beach is great for all those with little ones thanks to its soft sands and gentle waves. Embark on a horse ride or build sandcastles for an amazing day at the seaside.
  • Boasting four miles of pristine-white sands, Half Moon State Beach is a must for those wanting a brilliant picnic in the sun. The area also houses biking and hiking trails, ideal for budding explorers.
  • If you’re after some thrilling rides, head to the superb surfing spot of Mavericks Beach. Lessons are available for beginners with pros showing you how it’s done in California.
  • Any guesses as to what you have a chance of seeing at Gray Whale Cove State Beach? Many visitors come flocking to the site to admire the gorgeous marine life and soak up the sun. If travelling with little ones make note that there’s a nudist section on this beach.
