Have dinner and a swim at Nobu, Hong Kong

What better way to enjoy a pleasant Hong Kong evening than with a leisurely dinner in one of the city’s greatest culinary hotspots, followed by a rooftop swim with a view? Here in Hong Kong, this exact scenario awaits you at InterContinental hotel.

Born from a fusion of traditional Asian recipes infused with South American flavours, Nobu is one of the most acclaimed Japanese restaurants in the world. Using Tokyo, Peru, Argentina and Matsuhisa as inspirations, the food is original and has received commendations from the likes of Hollywood superstar Robert di Nero.

Since its opening Nobu has been flooded with celebrity names across the globe and has sprung up sister venues in nearly every major city, including Hong Kong. Found in the district of Tsim Sha Tsui, in the InterContinental building, here it showcases signature dishes, created using local, fresh and seasonal ingredients. The menu showstopper here is the Hirame XO Salsa and Oven Baked Black Cod cooked in a lotus leaf topped with dried miso and yuzu… we’re not drooling, you are!

Such an incredible selection is bound to make choosing what to eat a difficult task but don’t worry, at Nobu, they’ve already foreseen this difficulty. There are two set menu options during the evening which give you a perfect sample of the variety of flavours – the Nobu Signature Tasting Dinner and the Summer Omakase. Both of these are available before 10.30pm so make sure you get in early or book ahead!

And when you’ve supped your full and need a relaxing way to round off your meal, head up to the top floor of the hotel to visit the breathtaking pool terrace. The outdoor infinity pool boasts one of the best views of Tsim Sha Tsui. Plus, its open day and night. During the sunlight hours, feel as if you’re floating on a cloud above the skyline and by night, watch one of the most superb light shows on earth across the waters on Hong Kong Island.

WINGED BOOTS WISDOM

If you like your tea time bites to be a little more Asian-inspired Nobu has got exactly what you’re looking for. The restaurant’s afternoon T-Set offers a ‘simple’ or ‘fizzy’ option so you can choose to enjoy lunch with traditional teas or with a cheeky glass of bubbles.
