Explore and ride a snowmobile through the Golden Circle

Crank up the adrenaline with this phenomenal guided adventure through the Golden Circle that includes a snowmobile ride through the winter wonderland of Iceland. Setting off from Reykjavik your first port of call is Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s known for its historic roots and natural beauty. Here, you’ll get to explore some of the most picturesque landscapes in the country with various hiking trails, lakes and more.

The temperature is then turned up a notch as you head to the second stop of the trip; Geysir. The geothermal area boasts some fantastic hot springs including the Great Geysir that shoots scalding water 260-feet into the air every six to eight hours, and if you happen to be there when the natural show does get underway, definitely remember to pack your camera.

Trade hot springs for snowy scenes as you get taken to Langjökull for an hour’s snowmobile expedition. Sharing, two to one mobile, you can take it in turns to drive or pay a supplement to go solo. Please note, you must have and show a valid driving licence to operate a snowmobile.

Once your feet are firmly on the ground, you’ll then make a pitstop to Gulfoss waterfall on your way back to Reykjavik. One of Iceland’s most popular attractions, the sheer sight of watching the rushing water cascade down the cliffs to the river below, it’s truly magical.

WINGED BOOTS WISDOM

If you’ve forgotten any kit then you’re in luck as protective clothing and safety equipment is included for the snowmobile ride.
