A top snorkelling experience at Hanauma Bay

A premier destination for those who want to get acquainted with a plethora of fish and marine life, Hanauma Bay Nature Reserve provides a memorable snorkelling experience for all. Adults and children are welcomed with open arms here so don your swimwear and let’s get exploring.

Named the ‘Top US Beach’ in 2016 by Dr. Beaches and famed for being one of the best snorkelling destinations in Hawaii, we highly recommend investing in an underwater camera before visiting this gem. With more than 400 species of tropical fish to discover, dive in head first for the chance to see a sea turtle, octopus, or maybe you’ll even find Nemo.

Kayaking and stand up paddle boarding are also available for those who would rather explore atop the water. Great for families and watersport newbies, the waters are calm making for ideal conditions for nervous children as well as adults wanting to pick up a new skill.

Oh, and if you’re a fan of The King Of Rock and Roll you’ll be pleased to know that Blue Hawaii starring Elvis Presley was filmed in Hanauma Bay Nature Reserve.

WINGED BOOTS WISDOM

The water in Hanauma Bay is only a few feet deep however if you do want life jackets or vests, you will have to bring your own as they are not available in the nature preserve. Other snorkelling equipment is provided.
