Boston

The capital of Massachusetts and the largest city in New England, Boston is brimming with history and decadence for the ideal luxury holiday. Perfect for families and couples, these streets are bursting with educational museums and amazing red-brick buildings, most notably Harvard University, that are waiting to be explored.

Made up of 23 neighbourhoods, each is distinct with Charlestown full of young professionals, South East hosting a vibrant LGBT community and the annual St. Patricks parade giving South Boston it’s time to shine.

Boston is a true amalgamation of sights that cater to all travellers. The first public beach is housed here as well as Boston Common, the oldest public park. Sports-fanatics will love the fact that Fenway Park is just a five-minute drive away from Boston Common. Home to amazing baseball, try and catch a game if you can.

Less than a 10-minute drive away from Fenway Park, the tallest building in the city can be found. Measuring at 790 feet, the John Hancock Building is something you want to take a picture of, however for amazing views head to the observation deck at Prudential Tower. Close by, the shopping district of Back Bay is amazing, full of high-end boutiques that will have you needing a whole new wardrobe when back home.

Feeling peckish after exploring? Amazing cuisine, especially seafood, is close to every Boston local’s heart. Countless eateries and restaurants can be found everywhere you look. Fancy a change to seafood? Italian restaurants are in abundance in the North End neighbourhood.

Overall, Boston has history at its epicentre. You will be walking the red line of the Freedom Trail soon enough and, with plenty of five-star hotels, simply relaxing in the confines of your own room or suite is always on the cards.

WINGED BOOTS WISDOM

For those with a love for happy hours, unfortunately you won’t find any in local Boston pubs and bars with the deals having been banned since 1984. However, there are many fantastic watering holes with inviting and buzzing atmospheres that are sure to please regardless.
