Brought up-to-date in 2018 after a multi-million pound refurbishment, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire offers guests the chance to unwind surrounded by the great British countryside – 500 acres to be exact.
Interiors throughout the hotel are reminiscent of a traditional manor house but with a contemporary spin. Think parquet flooring matched with red leather chairs and traditional pictures put up against brightly patterned wallpaper. There’s a varied choice of accommodation to suit all travellers as well as four restaurants and bars, and don’t even get us started on the leisure facilities. A spa, adventure playground, equestrian centre and tennis courts… we doubt you’ll ever want to leave.

All 133 rooms and suites offer a refined style that draws on the hotel’s countryside location. Immaculately designed with bespoke artwork and ornaments throughout, the accommodation is comfortable; it’s the perfect spot to pitch up after a long day. Four Seasons mattresses complete with heat-absorption technology ensure a restful night’s sleep, while the luxury toiletries in the marble bathrooms will have you spending an extra five-minutes in the tub.
The Heritage Rooms are the signature accommodation at this hotel, and it’s easy to see why. Traditional stylings accompanied by stunning views of either the estate or the Walled Garden guarantees a picture-perfect stay. Enjoy a pamper in the marble bathroom that comes complete with luxury toiletries or have a lie-in courtesy of the ever-so-comfortable king-size bed… the choice is yours. Twin beds are also available along with a rollaway bed or a crib for children.
For some extra space, the Ellis St. John Suite is ideal. Centrally located in a restored Georgian manor house, this suite sleeps two adults and two children. Here, you can easily relax as you have a large sitting room, dining alcove, marble bathroom, king-size bed, sofa bed and a crib to take advantage of.
The ultimate accommodation at this hotel is the Royal Suite. Redesigned by interior architect Martin Brudnizi in 2018, this two-bedroom option features colour palettes of blue and yellow. At your disposal is a separate living room and dining room, as well as two marble bathrooms plus a powder room for when the time comes to freshen up.
Easily accessible from London via direct trains to Winchfield Station, 15-minutes drive from the hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire boasts a brilliant countryside location. For those that want to get back to nature, South Downs National Park is a 30-minute drive away while Winchester and its famous cathedral along with a whole host of restaurants and bars is only 35-minutes by car from the hotel lobby.
Three main dining destinations ensure you won’t be going hungry at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. Hearty British dishes make up the menu at Wild Carrot while afternoon tea is served amongst lush furnishings at The Drawing Room. Adjacent to the spa, Café Santé is fab to relax in either before or after a treatment and offers light bites, while The Bar At Wild Carrot sees classic craft cocktails and artisan concoctions inspired by seasonal ingredients take centre stage. If that wasn’t enough, private dining for up to 25 guests at Fox Hollow is available upon request.
Named after the white wildflowers that can be found in the neighbouring fields, Wild Carrot brings locally sourced and seasonal dishes to the table. Belgian waffles and egg white frittata for breakfast, ploughman’s platter for lunch and Dingley Dell pork belly for dinner… our mouths are watering at the thought. Oh, and the on-site bar is the perfect place to go for post-meal drinks.

Enjoy a perfect getaway in the countryside thanks to the leisure facilities when staying at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. A spa is on hand for times when only a facial or massage will do, and there’s a fantastic swimming pool with loungers so you can extend the relaxation. Kids are also well catered for here as there’s a pool specially for little ones as well as an adventure area where they can burn off that extra energy.
Found in what was once an old stable block, the spa at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire needs no introduction. Providing the perfect excuse for a long spa weekend, there are two swimming pools, a fitness centre, gender-separate rooms and VIP suites that feature a double, hydro-massage bath and steam shower.
A multitude of treatments are on offer from facials and massages to salon services such as waxing and manicures, and there’s a choice of signature offerings, too. One of our favourites is the Beeutiful Rose Spice Candle Massage. Combining soy, coconut oil and an essential oil blend of rose and frankincense, a warm melted candle wax is drizzled over the body which helps to keep skin hydrated and feeling supple. Couples’ treatments are also available to book along with hypnotherapy sessions for an additional boost of TLC.
