DINING

The three dining destinations found at Palácio Estoril Hotel, Golf and Wellness assures you’ll be well and truly wined and dined during your stay. Four Seasons Grill Restaurant is perfect for couples thanks to its beautiful setting and Portuguese dishes or if you’re part of a larger party and want something more relaxed, Bougainvillea Terrace Restaurant has everything you need for an al fresco meal under the stars. Both come with a healthy menu if you’re keeping an eye on the calories, too. Post-dinner, Bar Estoril is perfect. Regal and classic in design, this venue was a famous haunt for spies during the Second World War. Nowadays, you can enjoy a drink or two along with views of the poolside gardens. Utter bliss.

Bougainvillea Terrace Restaurant

  • Eclectic
  • No
A range of seafood, Italian dishes and plenty of comfortable charm makes dining at Bougainvillea Terrace Restaurant a must when staying at this hotel. Tuck in poolside and tuck with meals such as braised monkfish, wok-fried duck breast in tamarind sauce and crab and avocado tian, accompanied by an extensive wine list and traditional daily music. What could be better?

Four Seasons Grill Restaurant

  • Portuguese/International
  • No
For fine dining or a perfect date night, the Four Seasons Grill Restaurant is ideal. The dishes showcase some of the best Portuguese and international cuisine with top choices being braised cod fish, scallop and shrimp risotto and duck magret. We expect you to be salivating at the menu descriptions alone. Spread over two floors that boast an elegant design, there’s enough room for 80 diners.

LEISURE

Wellness is top of the agenda when staying at Palácio Estoril Hotel, Golf and Wellness. With a gym, swimming pool and a spa, rest and relaxation is certainly on the cards here. A golf course can be found just a five-minute drive away if you’re wanting to perfect your swing, with lessons available too. Fitness and yoga classes are also available so you can pump some iron or succumb to your senses, with personal training also available upon request.

Lower your handicap

Just a five-minute drive takes you to Estoril Palacio Golf Course. If you’ve come to Portugal with golf in mind, you’ve hit the jackpot with these 18 holes. The course itself is one of the oldest in the country, being home to The Portuguese Open for 20 years and The Portuguese International Championship Amateur for more than 60 years.

You can expect to be practising your swing surrounded by eucalyptus, mimosas and pine trees and framed with views of the town of Estoril and the sea. Lessons are available upon request for all ages, and for times when you want a break, The Clubhouse serves plenty of delectable traditional cuisine.

Simmer your senses

After a day of golfing or exploring Portugal in all its glory, the Banyan Tree Spa housed in the hotel guarantees to transport you to a realm of relaxation. Drawing inspiration from holistic approaches, the venue uses Asian techniques to ensure you’ll be feeling brand new.

All treatments include a foot bath and a herb-infused beverage to help aid the ultimate chill-out in Portugal, and with a wide range on offer, you’ll have a spring in your step in no time. We recommend the Harmony Banyan. With two and a half hours of table time, as well as 30-minutes of refreshments and relaxation, this choice gives you not one, but two therapists focused on making you feel amazing. After a pineapple and coconut body scrub you’ll be treated to an all-over body massage which will end up concentrating on the head and feet. Proceedings are then finished off with an apple green tea bath to invigorate the senses.

Break a sweat

The gym and fitness centre should be your first port of call so you can uphold your current workout routine. Focusing on a unique training philosophy that aims to incorporate movements in everyday activities such as sitting and lifting, personal trainers are available upon request along with group classes in yoga, Pilates and Zumba. The venue is made up of three studios, a swimming pool and top-of-the-range equipment. What more could you need?
