This idyllic garden-style island resort is set on a twelve-acre private coral island, shaded by lush vegetation, and is steps from perfect white sands – need we go on?

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa private island makes for an enchanting stay if luxury is what you’re seeking, with exquisite bungalows and pavilions overlooking the twinkling Indian Ocean, plus a year-round calendar of sun, sea and surf.

This is what we do know, but what don’t we know about this spectacular resort? We’ve sourced 15 fun Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa facts sure to make you fall in love with this destination even more.

1. You’ll feel like George or Jane of the Jungle

This scenic resort stretches across an entire garden-inspired tropical island, smothered with rich green vegetation and exotic flowers. The private coral island of Kuda Huraa, in North Male Atoll, measures just 12 acres in total, offering lucky guests the ultimate tropical experience.

2. The spa is on a separate island

The Island Spa is just a minute’s boat ride away from the main island and resort, so you’ll certainly start your pamper day in style. Meander along a wooden platform and you’ll reach the reception, a haven of peace, backed by seven treatment rooms – including overwater suites with glass bottom floors, so you can watch the exotic fish during a relaxing treatment. There is no gym here, but you can enjoy private yoga sessions in the pavilion.

Why not visit at night for some starlit magic on the new roof terrace? Perfect for a romantic couples massage.

3. It’s a haven for those seeking privacy…

The Sunrise Water Villa offers the ultimate in seclusion. Sleeping as many as three adults and one child (or arranged as two adults and two children), it stands proudly on stilts like a jewel jutting out of the ocean, for sheer tranquillity. The villa is located at the end of a long wooden jetty, so you’ll have no neighbours either. It even has its own private pool. Bliss.

4. … Really

You’ll be glad to know discretion is the name of the game here. To safeguard your privacy, you’re not allowed to fly a drone on the island apart from in one restricted area, whereby you must be supervised by the resort staff. This means your business is nobody’s but your own, which is great to know.

5. Its sister resort is just as dreamy and worth a visit

The resort’s sister property is called Landaa Giraavaru, nestled amid a 440-acre UNESCO Biosphere Reserve which you can visit via the resort’s own private Four Seasons Explorer catamaran - a luxury dive boat. The resort can also organise seamless connections between Kuda Huraa and Landaa Giraavaru by seaplane, as long as you give them at least 72 hours’ notice. You can discover the wonders of the reef, feed the baby turtles, or just relax and watch as the kids enjoy themselves.
