Villa One

Available for exclusive use, the three-storey Villa One is stylishly decorated by minimalist tones and furnishings that are highlighted by the carefully selected works of art from the hotel’s private collection. Comprising of a lounge, dining room, three bedrooms and other wonderfully spacious areas including a private terrace, your style definitely won’t be cramped here.  

Villa Two 

Painted in stunningly serene sea tones with a stone and wood finish this two-storey, open-plan apartment offers luxury amenities such as a private cinema and terrace as well as a flowing dining area that opens onto a mesmerizing infinity pool. An in-house chef is available 24-hours to fulfil any midnight cravings or tea time snacks – what more could you ask for?

Guests of the Ellerman Villas have the use of an in-house chef and staff who are available to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and any other snacks that you require, whenever you require meaning a personalised and you-orientated menu at all times. The area is surrounded by a tranquil water garden of indigenous plants, with soothing glimpses of the ocean, creating the ideal atmosphere of serenity and relaxation.
 
The small team of expert therapists provides a selective menu of rejuvenating experiences that are designed to soothe, relax and restore balance. With a double treatment room for signature couple massages, the state-of-the-art techniques and rituals use local inspiration as well as world-wide influences to create its unique menu.  

Wine not?

Ellerman House Wine Gallery is a truly exceptional sight that any guests of this hotel have to see. The subject of wine is one that is important at this accommodation, and as a testament to this, there is a 7500-bottle collection of South African vintages that range from rare collectables to up-and-coming vineyard produces. These bottles are displayed in what can only be described as a work of art that doubles as a wine wrack.
 
These wines are not only here to look pretty though – once they are deemed to be at peak maturity, the bottles are displayed on the wine list or opened for exclusive tasting sessions that can be bought by the glass. Guests can also learn about the heritage of South Africa’s renowned winemaking region as they embark on an in-depth and interactive journey from grape to glass.  

Soak up the culture 

Part of Ellerman House’s art and soul is its collection of masterpieces that have become so bountiful that they line the walls of the hotel from top to bottom, setting it apart from every other hotel in the area. The collection is estimated to cover more than two centuries from the 1800s to 2009 and contain works by the likes of Lionel Smith and Thomas Bowler. As the gallery is so extensive in number, there is an in-house art guide Talita who is available to conduct private tours for guests interested in learning more about the pieces.

Perched on rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Bantry Bay is one of the most exclusive areas on the Atlantic Seaboard. Bars and restaurants make this area one of the most thriving social spots in Cape Town and as some of the best sunsets on the coast can be seen from this glam location, this means some of the best sundowners, too. The location also provides an ideal base to explore the city, the beaches and the mesmerizing landscape of the Cape Peninsula.
