DINING

Okay, so we know holiday eating isn’t ever meant to be about keeping an eye on the waist-line, but we’re impressed that there’s a really big emphasis on healthy food here at Turtle Bay. The Westin guys seem keen to ensure you can indulge in fresh, delicious, and all-round good-for-you fare. That’s not to say you can’t opt for a typical lavish approach to your food and go for all out indulgence.

Seasonal Tastes

  • International
  • Smart casual

  • Yes

The emphasis here is on pan Asian and international cuisine, captured with the theatre of open kitchens. Your dining setting can vary from amidst the flower-filled courtyard, or the intimacy of the water’s edge, as you listen to music and watch the sun set on another beautiful Indian Ocean day.

Kangan

  • Indian
  • Smart casual

  • Yes

Kangan is definitely one to enjoy with the family. This has a great vibe, while serving contemporary Indian food. It’s bright, somewhat theatrical, and has décor touches like hanging seats and glittering patterned screens. Music plays in this colourful setting, and you’ll be able to dine between 7 and 10.30pm.

LEISURE

You don’t have to be a body-conscious spa-lover, nor a running addict, but if you are, you’re sure well catered for here. Westin really do go to town on their leisure facilities, and that screams out from this particular venue. Combine that with other trip potentials on your doorstep, and you’ll wonder how you’ll ever have time just to chill on that sunlounger.

Run Forrest, run

If running is your thing, or in fact, any form of fitness, you’re going to be a very happy Mauritius visitor when you pick this resort. Here you can energise yourself everyday, with a world-class fitness studio as well as local running maps that will keep you on your toes and get you motivated during your stay.

Hide away in heaven

Guests report back to us that they really enjoyed their experience in the Heavenly Spa here at Westin Turtle Bay – and we know why. It’s stunning.

You’ll find it located in the private gardens and there’s an impressive tally of 13 treatment rooms, in which you can take everything from a hot stone massage to a detoxification wrap (or pick your way through the entire menu!). Be sure to enjoy the indulgence of the Turkish bath while you’re here too.

Soak up family-time fireside

We love that Westin really does think through the family approach. This particular activity shows that this ethos is at its core.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – but Indian Ocean holidays are so much more than couples and honeymooners, so it’s great to see a hotel like this one taking that into full consideration and providing the Westin Family hub of activities. This includes everything from nature walks and craft activities, to being able to book family-friendly fireside storytelling.
