  • Visit the Duomo (cathedral) and watch it dazzle with brilliance. Snoop around and take in the high ceilings, ancient hand painting and remarkable architecture. If you only have time to visit one Cathedral on your trip, make it this one!
  •  Castel Vecchio Museum and Ponte Scaligero is a must. The 14th century fortress, was created to defend Verona against attacks from powerful neighbours, including from the Venetians. Damaged during the Napoleonic Wars, the castle was later used as a barracks and has since been transformed into a museum housing cool artefacts, weapons and paintings, making for a cultured day out.
