Our Expert View:

“Majorca is beautiful, and Jumeirah offers a lot of ways to experience it. Our favourite was taking the roads on a Harley Davidson and exploring the land at a pace. Bookable through the concierge I certainly recommend it,”

LEISURE

Jumeirah offers a fantastic array of leisure activities to help you experience Majorca to the fullest. Do you know how to ride a motorcycle? We highly recommend you explore on a Harley Davidson chopper. If you’d prefer a slower pace there’s a guided bird-watching tour which’ll put you back in touch with nature. Aside from that there’s plenty more, like viewing the mountainside as the sun goes down from a boat, replenishing your energy at the state-of-the-art spa facilities, wine tasting, cycling and more. You certainly won’t be stuck for choice at this resort.

A sunset boat tour

The incredible Tramuntana Mountain Range is right on your doorstep at Jumeirah Port Sóller Hotel, so you’d be mad not to check it out in an up close and personal way. The resort offers the perfect means to experience this glorious landmark. Climb aboard a luxury boat departing from Port de Soller some time before dusk, allowing plenty of time for a quick swim in the sea before the sun sets. As the dark sets in, a stewardess will cater with drinks and snacks as you enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime view of the mountain range eclipsing the sun.

Taste some local tipples on a walking wine tour

After a short half hour drive to the small village of Esporlas, hop on foot for an excursion of intermediate hiking across beautiful terrains through the Cami des Correus trail, en route to a humble winery on the outskirts of the region. Covering 8.5-kilometres of World Heritage area, you can explore the incredible landscapes while thinking about which wine you want to taste first. With commentary of the grounds and drinks from an expert guide, this is certainly a trip to consider to quench your cultural (and alcoholic) thirst.

On your bike

Cyclists that enjoy a ride through foreign lands will be in for a treat over here. Considered a cyclists’ paradise, Majorca has always had a reputation for the sport. Though, Jumeirah Port Soller has revolutionised it by working with ex-pro cyclist David Millar to curate some of the best routes in the world; these are designed for the ultimate cycle across the lands, passing picturesque sceneries of desert, mountain and ocean along your way. And if you’re feeling uneasy about traversing the lanes on your own, fear not. The resort will happily provide an experienced guide to help you negotiate the more challenging paths.
