DINING

The hotel is all inclusive with a main dining area where chefs will conjure up personalised dishes for every member of the party.

LEISURE

Do you love to trek and explore? Well you’re in good company here as Jao Camp is the perfect spot for secluded safari adventures. Whether it be via land rover, speedboat or traditional Mokoro, explore the African wilderness at your leisure accompanied by an extremely knowledgeable guide. Too much excitement for one day? Relax and unwind in the hotel spa or spend some time in the entertainment lounge or small library where you can curl up with a good book and escape the stresses of everyday life.

Enjoy a traditional Mokoro Experience

Traditional dugout canoes known as mokoros are available for a peaceful expedition through the rivers and lagoons surrounding Jao Camp. Enjoy and admire the African wildlife from the comfort of your own vessel. Want to see the wonders that lie beneath the water? Opt for one of the two glass-bottomed mekoros so you can marvel at the beautiful Botswanan marine life, without getting wet. This is also a great way to enjoy game safari so keep your eyes peeled at all times.

While out on the rivers and lagoons, why not turn your hand at fishing and attempt to catch your own supper? We promise it’ll taste better if you’ve caught it yourself.

Explore the african wilderness

Jump on board a 4x4 Land Rover for a morning or afternoon game as you track wild animals in paradise. Depending on what time of year it is, you may have to get a speedboat to dry land (not that that’s a problem), adding a little extra pizazz to your luxury expedition.

For nocturnal natural beauty, night drives are also on offer for those wanting a more romantic love affair with the African wildlife. Full-day games complete with picnics are also available for fabulous family day trips.

Relax and Unwind

Kick back and enjoy your African paradise without even leaving your hotel. The spa is a great place to relax with facials, massages and manicures all on offer. Tucked away under ebony trees, you are in for a secluded treat from the second you arrive.

On the flipside, the entertainment room is ideal for those wanting to socialise, watch wildlife documentaries or take part in some family fun. Surrounded by tribal décor, you will be feeling the rhythms of Africa from the get go. Private dining is also an option here, with many other hot spots around the camp available including in the water itself!
